Nursery
At the very start of 'Signal Shala', the concept of kindergarten or nursery was nowhere in our view.
We started the Signal School basically keeping in mind the age group of kids above 6 years who were working on traffic signals. Next, we along with the teachers introduced the concept of 'school near your door' so that all the kids could attend the school.
But after few days, we could make out that small kids who were coming along with their brother or sister to the school were also interested in learning. But since our school was intended for kids above 6 years, these small kids would either roam here & there with their parents or would beg on the signal.
At times we could make out that their mothers would tie these kids anywhere or would make them fall sleep by giving sedatives or took them in their lap & beg.
In a very contrary sight, one of the elder child was studying in our school & the other kid who was just 2-3 years younger would beg at the signal. To bring an end to this sight, we introduced nursery/kindergarten school. We thought moulding the kids who were very young. & thus our journey towards establishing nursery/kindergarten, started on Gudi Padwa,2017. By the then Com. Of TMC & other persons in honour.
Today, we are satisfied that those kids who were begging on the signal are enjoying their childhood.These kids who were working against their natural flow are now streamlined in the best possible manner & we are trying our best to make their educational joyride successful.
